Clean and spacious rooms, phenomenal customer service, and friendly, helpful staff. Balconies offer great views, but the view from the rooftop patio is STELLAR: you can see the entire bay, all the way from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge, including one of the best views of Alcatraz I’ve ever seen. The location couldn’t be better. Ghirardelli Square is just two blocks west, and it’s only two blocks north to Hyde Pier and the start of Fisherman’s Wharf. Pier 39 is a short walk east of there, and there’s dozens and dozens of things to do and see on the way. There’s a bus stop right out front of the suites that services three bus lines, including one that goes to the Greyhound station. Even better, one of the cable car lines passes by on Hyde; hearing the cable car’s bells from our suite was fun. The streets can be pretty busy with all the tourists and such, both in a car and walking down the street. But despite that, crime seemed very low, and the neighbourhood always felt very safe. Overall, these suites were an amazing place to spend four days in San Francisco in. I grew up in this part of California, and have been all over the city. And yet, this weekend staying at the Suites at Fisherman’s Wharf has been one of, if not the, best weekend I’ve ever had in San Francisco. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate: it’s even better than you think it is.
